Applications & Compatibility
Compatible Jeeps
Fits 1997–2006 TJ & LJ Wranglers, 1988+ XJ Cherokees, MJ Comanches, and 1993–1998 ZJ Grand Cherokees. Thanks to flexible routing and bracket geometry, the SK2XC works seamlessly with drivetrain swaps, lift kits, and a wide variety of modifications.
Compatible Transmissions
Because the transfer case bracket mounts independently of the transmission, this kit works with nearly every transmission configuration. All Novak NP/NVG transfer case adapters are designed to accept the SK2XC directly.
Compatible Transfer Cases
Fits Jeep 6-bolt NP/NVG transfer cases (231, 242, and similar, 1988+). Not compatible with the 241OR — use the SK3XR. Compatible with many Dodge and AMG cases with the same bolt pattern.
Installation Requirements
Installation is straightforward with basic hand tools. Skid plate removal may be required, but the shifter itself installs easily. Clear instructions are included, and most owners complete the installation in an afternoon.
