Fluids & Lubricants

Our new and rebuilt transmissions and transfer cases ship without fluid, so you'll need to fill them before installation. Select your unit in the Fluid Finder to see which fluid it takes and how much to order, or browse by fluid type below.

Automatic Transmission Fluid

DEXRON-VI for the 4L60E, 4L80E and 6L80E. DEX/MERC for the TH350, TH400, 700R4 and New Process chain-drive transfer cases.

Manual Transmission Fluid & Gear Oil

Synchromesh for the AX15, 85W-90 GL-4 for vintage gearboxes, and 80W-90 GL-5 for Dana 18, 20 and 300 transfer cases.

Engine Oil

5W-30 for LS Gen III/IV swaps and high-zinc 10W-30 for flat-tappet small blocks.

Coolant & Additives

Zerex G-05 premixed coolant and Red Line Water Wetter for our aluminum swap radiators.

Hydraulic Clutch Fluid

DOT 3 to fill and bleed Novak hydraulic clutch retrofits and Jeep clutch master cylinders.

Application Chart

Amounts are a full fill for a new or rebuilt unit unless noted, rounded up to whole containers. Always finish by checking the level at the fill plug or dipstick; your service manual is the final word for your specific vehicle.
