Aluminum Swap Radiators
Filling a Novak radiator? A V8 system takes about 4 gallons of premixed coolant from empty (3 for the early CJ V6 radiator), plus one bottle of Water Wetter. You can add both right from the radiator page when you order.
Zerex G-05 Antifreeze / Coolant, 50/50 Premix
Novak radiators are aluminum units built in-house for the swap. The coolant has to suit the radiator, not the engine it's bolted to. Zerex G-05 is the one we recommend for them.
G-05 uses a hybrid organic acid (HOAT) chemistry that keeps protecting aluminum even when it's diluted by leftover coolant or exposed to air in a hand-built system. Dex-Cool, by comparison, needs a fully flushed, sealed, full-strength system to work as designed. It comes premixed 50/50, so there's no concentrate to dilute and no ratio to guess: pour it straight in.
Red Line Water Wetter Coolant Additive
Water Wetter lowers the surface tension of the coolant, so it wets the metal more completely and moves heat out of the engine and into the radiator more efficiently. One 12 oz bottle treats a full radiator system.
