YJ Wrangler Jeeps
Novak's weld-in engine mounts for the Jeep YJ Wrangler provide immense strength and a precise GM Vortec & LS V8 engine installation.
These mounts fit all 1987-1995 Jeep YJ Wranglers and are for the GM Gen III & IV LS / Vortec V8 engines.

Ease of Installation
These mounts are weld-in style and detailed instructions will guide to an ideal installation.
Strength
The Novak mounts feature thick 3/16" laser cut and CNC bent steel construction. Engineered using a welded box design geometry to provide maximum strength and assure that they will survive even the wildest V8's.
Vibration Isolation
Each mount kit comes with our HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) isolators — the latest refinement in Novak’s ongoing material development. HNBR delivers superior resistance to heat, oil, and the demanding conditions of the modern engine bay, providing the ideal balance of vibration damping and long-term durability that conventional rubber compounds cannot match. Substantial 5/8" through bolts capture the assembly. Replacement isolator sets are available below should replacement ever be needed.
Compactness
Geometry of the mounts is compact to provide clearance for all stock components including the steering shaft with its pillow block and the recommended exhaust headers below.
Engine Mount Finish
As the mounts are welded to the frame, any finish on the frame side brackets as well as the frame would be burned. you may enamel, powder coat, or otherwise finish the bracketry and adjacent frame area to your own style. Engine plates are coated in a rust resistant finish but may also be painted.

Installation Requirements
Welding in Novak's passenger side #MMYJ-G3 mount bracket in location, as directed by the provided instructions
Remove & Replace the Frame Brackets
Removal of the factory frame mounts for both 2.5L I4 and 258 / 4.0L I6 engine Wranglers is required. This is best done with a separating disc, plasma cutter, torch, or reciprocating saw, followed up by a grinder or flap-wheel.

Engine Placement
We have predetermined engine placement for the installer. There is a very fine window in which the GM Gen. III & 4 V8 can properly fit into the YJ Jeep, and we've done this design legwork already.

If getting a Novak-enhanced GM harness, you will receive a water-tight fuse and relay center, heat-resistant loom, and your wiring will be simplified for the easiest installation we can imagine.
