CNC Lathe Machinist – Precision Production

We're looking for a CNC lathe machinist to join our production team. Experienced machinists are welcome, but so is someone with basic CNC machining knowledge who is eager to learn: we train on site, on our machines and our parts. You'll work on three CNC lathes, run our VMC mills when needed, and see the parts you machine go into finished adapters and conversion systems.

What you'll do

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes, running existing G-code; as you grow into the role, write new programs in Fusion and hand-edit code when it pays off
  • Turn production parts in steel and aluminum, including hard-turned steel parts held to tight tolerances (some to 0.0004″)
  • Inspect in-process with metrology tools and keep the machines adjusted for repeatable, high-quality output
  • Help stay ahead of inventory needs, and take part in R&D, prototyping and process improvements
  • Keep programs, prints, notes and photos organized on the computer; care for your machines and tooling

What we're looking for

  • At least basic CNC machining knowledge; lathe setup, programming and Fanuc / Centroid controls are a plus, not a must
  • Willing to learn, and open to constructive feedback as you pick up our standards and processes
  • Careful, production-minded, and a good teammate
  • Able to lift 50 lb

Pay, benefits and schedule

  • Full-time, stable position; competitive pay
  • Simple IRA with 3% match, paid time off, possible flexible schedule
  • Day shift, 40 hours per week, in person at our Logan, Utah shop (commute or relocate before starting)
  • Hands-on training on our machines, products and standards, a PC workstation, and the metrology tools you need (bring your own calipers)

Our shop is a well-organized, steady production environment, with time set aside for R&D, problem-solving and product revisions that our machinists help shape.

Not a machinist but believe you have something big to contribute? Send us your resume anyway and we'll gladly consider it.
