    Ford Small Block V8 Engine Mounts

    for

    TJ & LJ Wrangler Jeeps

    Novak's engine mounts for the Jeep TJ & LJ Wranglers provide great strength and a precise Ford Small Block V8 (289/302/351W) installation.

    This version of our TJ / LJ mount is for Ford Small Block V8 engines, entirely replacing the existing Jeep I4 or I6 frame mount.

    Removal of the factory frame mounts for both 2.5L I4 and 4.0L I6 engine Wranglers is required. This is best done with a separating disc, plasma cutter, torch, or reciprocating saw, followed up by a grinder or flap-wheel.

    Features

    Ease of Installation

    These mounts are available in either weld-in style or bolt-in style, and detailed instructions will guide to an ideal installation.

    Strength

    The Novak mounts feature thick 3/16" laser cut and CNC bent steel construction. Engineered using a welded box design geometry to provide maximum strength and assure that they will survive even the wildest V8's.

    Vibration Isolation

    Each mount kit comes with our high-grade urethane isolators that are specified for that ideal balance of isolation and firmness with the power of modern engines. Substantial 5/8" through bolts capture the assembly. Replacement bushing sets are available below should replacement ever be needed.

    Compactness

    Geometry of the mounts is compact to provide clearance for all stock components including steering shaft with its pillow block.

    Engine Mount Finish

    As the mounts are welded to the frame, any finish on the frame side brackets as well as the frame would be burned. you may enamel, powder coat or otherwise finish the bracketry and adjacent frame area to your own style. Engine plates are coated in a rust resistant finish but may also be painted.

    Installation Requirements

    Engine Placement

    We have predetermined engine placement for the installer. There is a small window in which Ford Small Block engines can properly fit into the TJ Jeep, and we've done this design legwork already.

    Steering Bracket

    These mounts feature an integrated platform for the reinstallation of your steering shaft carrier bearing bracket, as you may be removing the factory version. If installed correctly, the safety of your steering system will meet or exceed the factory specifications. Whether and how this is done varies with the original engine in your Jeep and the type of mount selected. Some (but not all) models use an additional spacer bracket that is supplied.
