We are proud to announce the release of our AX15 Short Throw Shifter Tower, designed as a true functional upgrade for AX15 owners who want a tighter, more precise shift feel without sacrificing serviceability.
The AX15 is a solid transmission, but the factory shifter has excessive throw and a vague feel. Rather than redesigning the entire shifter system with proprietary wear parts, our goal was to improve the geometry while retaining stock AX15 service components.
What we changed
The shift tower is completely new and CNC-machined from 6061 aluminum
The shifter pivot point is raised approximately 1 inch
This results in roughly a 30% reduction in shift throw
The shift feel is noticeably shorter and more direct without being notchy or stiff
What we intentionally kept
Uses the stock AX15 pivot ball and shift finger bushings
Retaining spring, cup, and boot are standard SLR-176 service parts
Integrated breather, just like the factory AX15 tower
No one-off wear parts or hard-to-source internals
If you ever need to service it, you’re using readily available AX15 parts.

Shifter cane & knob options
Cane is 5/8" steel rod. If needed, it can be bent using some heat and a vice.
