1980 Dana 300 to YJ Speedometer Cable?

Have a 1989 YJ with a 1993 XJ Engine/Computer , 1993 YJ AX15, Dana 300

The casting on the 300 is: C300-19-2. That makes it the shorter 1980 version that can't take a VSS. If I was able to get a VSS in, I could use an aftermarket digital dash for the YJ or use the XJ PCM to drive a spare set of 92-95 YJ gauge cluster.

Are there any solutions / parts lists I can buy to make the YJ speedo cable work with the 1980 dana 300? I do need to buy a new speedo cable for the YJ because it got too close to the exhaust.

GearaldAtric Thank you for the question. Back in the day the auto parts stores had paper catalogs that had photos of the end configurations of speedometer cables along with the lengths available. I remember it being an ATP Speedometer application catalog. I think that NAPA carried the same under their own line (Balkamp?). I'd suggest checking with them to see if they could match one from the Dana 300 to the Jeep speedo head. I wish I still had that catalog. I'd be able to offer a part number to you.
