I have an 85 cj7 recently swapped to a SBC. Upgrading from t176 to t18a. Advanced adaptors part #712548 bellhousing that fit the t176. I have a bearing retainer coming that will fit the bell housing and throw out bearing. Will I need to modify the bell housing or trans to bolt up? Will I need to replace pilot bushing? Will I need to modify the skid plate to accommodate the trans?
I’m a newbie to mechanical stuff but learning. Any help appreciated.
