Dana 20 Transfer Case Twin-Stick Shifter Kits
The Dana 20 is a very good recipient for a twin stick conversion. These kits come with the hardware and instructions required to create a clean and highly functional shifter upgrade.
Compatibilities
The Dana 20 twin stick kit is compatible with the Dana 20 as found in the varying downsize and fullsize Jeeps. It mounts into the front bearing retainer casting.
The Twin Stick shifter is compatible with factory or 3.15:1 low aftermarket gear sets.
Shifting Positions
The Dana 20 shifters feature short-throw shifting, and they maintain all stock gear selections, and add the following improvements:
- Provides a solidly-detented Rear Wheel Drive, Low position that will stay in gear
- Provides the additional option of a Front Wheel Drive, High position
As to shifter positions: the low-range positions are all the way forward and the high-range positions are all the way back. Neutral is in the middle. Please refer to the diagram, below.
Allows independent operation of front and rear drive - completely independent axle and range operation with removal of internal shift interlock pills.
Construction
The Dana 20 twin stick shifters feature a rock-solid feel due to the heavy stainless stock used to construct them. The shifter is provided with finely-threaded and precisely adjustable linkages that are CNC made from 303 stainless steel alloy, and matching quality rod bearing ends.
You won't find any ny-lock nuts that are not designed for heat. We use only, all metal, mechanical self-locking hardware. This shifter comes with installation / adjustment instructions and shift pattern decal. Boot kit is available separately, below.
