GM Generation III+ V8 Engine Mounts
YJ Wrangler Jeeps
New for 2011 are Novak's weld-in engine mounts for the Jeep YJ Wrangler, providing immense strength and a precise GM Generation III+ V8 engine installation.
Ease of Installation
These mounts are weld-in style and detailed instructions (see the PDF link below) will guide the installer for an ideal installation.
Removal of the factory frame mounts for both 2.5L I4 and 258 / 4.0L I6 engine Wranglers is required. This is best done with a separating disc, plasma torch or reciprocating saw, followed up by a grinder or flap-wheel.
The Novak mounts feature a thick 3/16 steel construction and a welded box design for the maximum strength available. They employ the best engineering and geometry to assure that they'll survive even the wildest V8's.
We have predetermined engine placement for the installer. There is a very fine window in which the GM Gen. III+ V8 can properly fit into a YJ Jeep, and we've done this design legwork already.
The mounts keep themselves out of the way of the steering and its pillow block, allowing the installer to keep the entire Jeep steering system intact and undisturbed. They will also clear the exhaust headers we recommend, our CCLS1 series blockhuggers. Clearance from all other retained factory components is also excellent.
Each mount kit comes with our high-grade urethane isolators that are gauged well for that ideal balance of isolation and firmness. The large, graded 5/8” bolts and all associated hardware are included. Additionally, Novak will always be here to inexpensively provide replacement urethane bushings, if needed - years down the road.
