Ultra-Short NP / NVG 231
Slip Yoke Eliminator Assembly
One of the best innovations available for your Jeep 231 transfer case is the Extreme Slip Yoke Eliminator kit. Designed for the most rigorous duty Jeeps, it replaces the problematic OEM tailhousing and mainshaft with a fixed yoke design, and creates an optimally short New Process (or New Venture) 231 transfer case.

The shaft is machined from gear steel alloy and the housing is cast of aircraft grade 356-T6 aluminum. It uses a stable bearing-on-yoke design to make for the most vibration and wear resistant assembly available.
It is common for suspension-lifted Jeeps with OEM style transfer cases to experience driveshaft vibrations due to excessive u-joint angles.
The short shaft kit will shorten the NV231 by 7" over factory setups, 3" more than standard SYE kits, and will even yield a total transfer case package that is 1.5" shorter than the Atlas transfer case.
The robust 32 spline output shaft features full practical spine engagement with its yoke (i.e., the spline shear limit of the yoke is equal to or greater than the twist limit of the shaft).

The kit comes with all items as shown in the image. Driveshafts are not included due to the myriad of different lengths and combinations available. We recommend the services of a good local or national driveshaft specialist to assist you here.
We are pleased to have collaborated with TeraFlex in the development of this new generation of NVG 231 heavy-duty mainshaft assemby. We've installed them on our own Jeeps and have enjoyed hearing so much positive feedback from our customers upgrading their own 231 transfer cases. With a well-planned design and premium materials, we expect that it will outlast the most severe duty of situations.

| The short shaft kit will shorten the NV231 by 7" over factory setups. The middle kit is the Standard Short Shaft kit, for installers that don't require the longest possible rear driveshaft. It's mechanical speed output signal makes it ideal for 1991 and earlier Jeeps with a mechanical speedometer. |
